Today, Nationwide Energy Partners’ President Mike Palackdharry joined Mayor Michael B. Coleman, Superintendent of Columbus City Schools Dan Good and Principal of Hamilton STEM Academy Dr. Christopher Brady to celebrate Hamilton STEM Academy’s improvements in third grade reading. Hamilton STEM Academy had 91 percent of their third graders achieve a score to progress to the fourth grade, making it the No. 1 Columbus City School to improve.

Dr. Brady recognized Nationwide Energy Partners’ Energize Columbus initiative and its part in helping Hamilton STEM Academy make great strides during the 2013-2014 school year.

NEP’s Energize Columbus is a community action initiative that focuses on ensuring children have access to a variety of resources to stay active and energized. At Hamilton STEM Academy, NEP worked to revitalize the school’s playground and landscape and hosted energy sessions where students learned the basics of energy as well as conservation tips. NEP employees have also served as judges at the school’s annual science fair.
