Nationwide Energy Partners Exhibits at the NYSERDA 2018 Multifamily Summit in Syracuse, NY

Representatives from Nationwide Energy Partners attended NYSERDA’s 2018 Multifamily Summit in Syracuse, New York. Beginning on October 21st, the two-day interactive event brought together multifamily industry professionals to discuss new trends, technologies, best practices, and regulations that make multifamily buildings more energy efficient.

The event sponsor, The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) offers objective information and analysis, innovative programs, technical expertise and support to help New Yorkers increase energy efficiency, save money, use renewable energy and reduce reliance on fossil fuels. NYSERDA is a public benefit corporation and has been advancing energy solutions and working to protect the environment in New York state since 1975.

Nationwide Energy Partners interacted with and demonstrated the power of its Smart Property Platform to over 150 energy and multi-family professionals from in and around the New York state area. “New York is a unique state with large capacity issues downstate and winter peak loads upstate” said Kit Hagen, Senior Vice President of Business Development for NEP.  “Multi-family communities when paired with NEP’s Smart Property Platform or a program like MPP have an opportunity to significantly reduce or control their electric loads”.

NYSERDA offers an incentive program called the Multifamily Performance Program (MPP) that assists owners and managers of affordable multifamily properties in New York State to make energy improvements. NYSERDA-qualified Multifamily Buildings Solutions Providers work directly with building owners and managers to create a customized plan aimed at achieving 20% energy savings along with reduced energy bills.

NEP’s Smart Property Platform combines metering and microgrid technologies with advanced load management tools to offer owners and operators of multi-family communities a unique way to measure, analyze, and control their energy usage. Whether it is EV charging stations, roof top solar, residential batteries, or smart apartment hardware like thermostats and appliance controls, NEP’s platform incorporates these technologies seamlessly into the multi-family living experience.
